The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (“EMRA”) announced on 4 June 2026 that it had launched a public consultation on a comprehensive regulatory package proposing amendments to various pieces of legislation governing the electricity market.

The Bets Law, which deals with virtual and physical betting, real sporting events and online games, establishes taxation criteria, requirements for operating the service.
