Draft Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025
In August 2023, India enacted its first standalone data protection and privacy law in the form of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. In January 2025, the much-awaited subordinate rules under the DPDP Act, namely the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 were released in draft form.
